It was a fantastic time in Barneville-la-Bertran. the service was fantastic, and I enjoyed nice views of the hotel garden from my family room. the atmosphere felt like family. the venue was conveniently located next to the restaurant, which offered a reasonably priced four-course meal and easy access to Normandy's attractions and the Viking forest. Additionally, it was just a 5-minute drive from Labyrinthe Honfleur.

It was surely a fantastic stay for 1 night during a business trip. Enjoyed this small hotel: delicious food and great and lovely staff. My room was attractive and beautiful with a nice view on the garden of the venue. The location was marvellous, very close to the autoroute, the restaurant, which was a very reasonably priced four course meal and the sweet garden and easily accessible...

The hotel is located in a small village, close to a farm and cider fields. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. At the same time, just a short drive from Honfleur and from the seaside. Our dog loved the local walks, by the sea and also in a large national forest (2-3 hr trek). The rooms are well-arranged and the one we had was only recently constructed, comfortable beds; a proper mirror; excellent bathtube; lots of light. The kitchen lived up to the expectations. Set lunches and dinners fantastic. They even replaced meat (which we don't eat) with fish at request. All in all, a nice place to hide away for a few days and enjoy the food, the air, the walks. We also wish to thank the lady who runs the place for being a great host.
A small comment - French are not tea drinkers but as many other nations discover this spot, it would be great to replace Twinings at breakfast with either loose leaf tea or one of the better French labels (MdF, LPdT); also, while we loved lunches and dinners, we found breakfast to be a bit too basic, missing some cheeses and apple pies. For the latter, a terrific spot is a local boulangerie - turn right from Auberge, drive until stop sign, turn right, drive until roundabout, take a first right; it will be on your left-hand side in about 500m. The spot bakes perfect traditional fare. Enjoy.

The staff and the food. The food was quite exceptional. We had booked for one dinner, but decided to stay for two and were not disappointed. In fact, quite the best meals we have ever had in France. The garden was a delight, and had the sun come out would have been even better ! The rooms were interesting too - a cut above the average. We felt very well looked after by the staff who were very courteous and pleasant.
I wished there had been a proper shower as I don't like bathing much, and, overall, I think this hotel is slightly overpriced. Not the food, but the rooms. If we were staying in that area again we would probably stay there again, but the bill of nearly 800 euros for two nights dinner, bed and breakfast was quite a lot, we thought.

Delightful setting and surroundings. Very comfortable room. Quiet and peaceful.
Badly signposted. Bathroom functional but small. Handbasin and wetroom shower ensured that the floor was always wet. Whilst dinner was enjoyable it was very expensive and we were disappointed not to have a choice.

Medeval building however fully renovated and outfitted with mordern facilities. Situated in a quiet village 5 min drive from Honfleur. Beautifully designed garden with water streaming from the natural source, whence the hotel's name. Delicious dinners served at night by the chef of the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel with beautiful rooms and a stunning garden. The location was perfect for exploring Le Havre, and the overall value for money was excellent.
The breakfast option could be improved by offering a wider variety of choices.

A nice hotel in a very pretty location, well situated between Honfleur and Deauville. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The food was good and breakfast was more than acceptable.
We dined in on our first evening and found that the lounge area was a little small to have pre-dinner drinks, it didn't seem set up for that. The food was good but we were not offered a choice per course and felt that was a shame. The menu may have changed over the weekend (our first evening was wednesday) but we ate out after that!
